Workshop 2026

The city is served by several international airports offering excellent connections:

• Düsseldorf Airport (DUS) – 8 km north of the city, main hub for the region.
  Take suburban line S11 to Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof (~12 min) or a taxi (~25 min).
• Cologne/Bonn Airport (CGN) – approx. 45 min by direct regional train (RE 6) to Düsseldorf Main Station.
• Frankfurt Airport (FRA) – Germany’s largest airport; about 1 h 45 min by ICE train to Düsseldorf Main Station.

From Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof (main station), public transportation (U70–U79) takes you to Heinrich-Heine-Allee; the venue is just a ~5 min walk away. For more information see "By train".

Düsseldorf Hbf is a major ICE/IC/EC hub with direct services to many European cities including Cologne, Frankfurt, Berlin, Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris.

• Public transportation: U-Bahn lines U70–U79 to Heinrich-Heine-Allee, then a 5-minute walk to the venue or change to U71/72/73/83 for one more stop to Schadowstraße (closest stop ~1 min walk).
• On foot: ~15 min (≈1.2 km) via Immermannstraße → Schadowstraße.
• Taxi: ~5–10 min from the main entrance taxi rank.

Parking in Düsseldorf city centre is limited. Public transport is usually faster, but several car parks are close to the venue:

• Parkhaus Kö-Bogen APCOA — Königsallee 2 (~4 min walk)
• Parkhaus K2 / Schauspielhaus — Gustaf-Gründgens-Platz 1 (~5 min walk)
• Parkhaus Schadow-Arkaden — Martin-Luther-Platz 26 (~3 min walk)

Traffic around Königsallee can be busy during rush hours — plan some extra time.

We highly recommend attending the GPCRnet Symposium held 13-15 September 2026 in Leipzig (Symposium GPCRnet´26 – SFB1423) prior to the aGPCR Workshop. A direct bus shuttle from Leipzig to Düsseldorf is available on 16 September 2026 in the morning that will take you directly to the venue (luggage can be stored at the venue during the first day if required).
